Amanda Diva AKA, Ms. Diva’s latest EP, Spandex, Rhymes & Soul is off the hook, nice beats, great instrumentation and smooth production.  This EP is not your usual run of the mill mixtape style EP.  The Spandex, Rhymes & Soul EP is a complete original body of work Amanda labels as “Hiptronicsoul.” Ms. Diva is doing double duty on this project; doing both rapping and singing throughout the EP.  The EP was produced by DJ Green Lantern and Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids and is a worthy addition to your iPod Playlist.

Legendary French textile designers Paule Marrot put his distinct touch on the Summer 2009 release of the Nike “Skinny Dunk.”  Paule Marrot Editions has been creating memorable designs since 1920 and  was once praised the the Brittish Royal Fam. The Nike is for the female who loves authenticity that fits with her wardrobe.  The Paule Marrot Editions Skinny Dunk Collection include textiles featuring “Aurore” with Butterflies and Feathers and the “Les Cerises” prints in  two colorways in all-over prints of Cherries.

This spring the Converse by John Varvatos campaign marks the “Get Chucked” debut of Sarah Ruba, top model and founding member of the electro-soul band New Look! Fashion photographer Keiron O’Connor was inspired by artistic camaraderie and energy, captures a mood of optimism and youthful irreverence, resulting in a series of images that incorporate an evolved design aesthetic reflecting the creative environment of an artist.

The images were shot in a downtown artists loft space for the company’s premium men’s and women’s apparel and footwear collections.

The Spring 2009 men’s and women’s collections continues with the rock ‘n roll edge offering a range of high-end vintage inspired knits, tops, graphic tees, dresses, sweaters, tailored jackets, denim, woven bottoms, leathers and outerwear pieces.

The collection will be available nationwide at specialty retailers, department stores and online at www.converse.com this month.

Nike recently released another retro styled shoe from their vault.  The “Air Dig” was made solely  as a Women’s performance volleyball shoe (explaining the it’s nickname).  Originally released in 1991 the Air Dig features a cross-trainer-esque profile and employs characteristics such as a gum sole and adjustable lacing with the liberal use of mesh.  The Air Dig contains rubber mesh on the side panels and plastic lace holders. This particular colorway features a predominately white leather upper with pink accents on the side wall, swoosh and tongue. The ankle of the shoe has a white collar and another decorative collar with vertical lines. The back of the Air Dig’s heel has green teal, covered by a later of rubber mesh and the toe features a dual curved mudguard over the front portion of the toe box.
